Becoming a Guild member

Join a friendly, active, organized guild in Elder Scrolls Online!

Knights Who Say Nirn would love the opportunity to show you just how fun being in a guild can be when you join our family!

Are you a socialite? Love to joke and chat? Do you want to get involved in group events? Make friends and allies and together help crush our foes? Help new players find their feet?

We are looking for friendly, chatty, helpful, active players to join our lovely community! We are built on unity, teamwork, nurturing, and respect and would love to have your contribution to our guild.

Based in Aldmeri Dominion, we fight for the Queen! Established as a UK guild on the first day of early access, 30th March 2014, we are one of the longest running guilds in-game and have many long standing, faithful members. We are looking for like-minded souls to continue to fill our chat with witty conversation, help nurture our newbies and form winning teams to dominate in dungeons, triumph in trials, and conquer in Cyrodiil!

We accept new members into the guild via application using the form on our site – all potential new members are asked to complete this form as it helps us to see if you are going to be a good fit for our community. We are looking for new members that really *want* to join us and to contribute and be an active part of our community. Please tell us why you want to join our guild – this is your chance to impress us, please do take a moment to give us a shining first impression! You can find our application form here!

Gaining promotion within the Guild

New members to the guild join us at Squire rank – you will be able to get involved in the guild chat, contribute to the shared resources in our guild bank and also have permission to sell in our guild store (please apply guild/mate’s rates if selling).

We will be looking for you to be active within the guild and a positive contribution to our community; online regularly, getting involved in the guild by contributing to chat in-game/on Facebook (if you join us on there), joining group events and contributing to the guild bank. You are applying to a social based guild so we expect you to be sociable and chat and get involved!

After a trial period of time, (a minimum of 3 weeks) to ensure that you are happy within the guild and that we feel you are a good fit for us, then you may request bank access by contacting an Officer or GM via in-game mail.

Our one absolute set in stone requirement is that you must have an updated guild note detailing at the very least your preferred name so that everyone knows what to call you in chat. Other details such as your location, age (if you are feeling brave), a general hello or information about your characters, such as roles for dungeons or crafting skills are also welcomed but optional.

Show us your best chatty, helpful, friendly self and we will be happy to promote you to a full member which gives full guild bank access, allowing you to withdraw from our shared resources as well as contribute. (Please see Guild Bank below)

Trading and Guild Store use

We are not a trade guild, we are a caring, sharing community. We encourage our guild members to help each other and to give away items to those in need whenever they are able.

  • If you do choose to use the guild store then please ensure you are listing items at a price that reflects the guild’s ethics and sell cheaply at mate’s rates. An add-on such as Master Merchant will give you a good idea of the current going rates for items.
  • Items purchased from the guild store are for personal use only and strictly not for resale or profit.
  • No WTS/WTT in guild chat.
  • We are lucky enough to have many skilled crafters in the guild. Should you require their services please bear in mind the amount of time and effort that it took them to achieve this. When requesting items to be made please provide materials and allow time for them to be crafted – offering favours in return/goodies to say thank you is encouraged!

Guild Bank use

As a Squire, you may deposit in the bank and contribute to our collective shared resources. Full access is granted after a trial period with the Guild (See Gaining promotion within the Guild, above)

  • Please do not take full stacks of materials, leave some for the next person that might be in need! Split stacks and return any excess.
  • Please consider donating your unwanted useful items, such as; runes, alchemy ingredients, crafting materials, provisioning ingredients, bait, weapons/armour with traits
  • Please do not fill the guild bank with useless items, eg; lvl 1/dropped white food, white weapons and armour with no traits, white jewellery, crafting style stones
  • Abuse of the Guild bank (excessive withdrawals or recurring withdrawals without equal value donations) will result in access being revoked
  • Access will be revoked if you are inactive for over 3 months

Guild bank management – please let an officer or GM know if the bank is full, please do not tidy it!

Voice Comms

We have a dedicated Guild Teamspeak server for voice comms which is encouraged for guild group events such as dungeon groups, Undaunted pledge runs, PvP, DSA and Trials. Typed ingame chat is the preferred day to day general method of communication to ensure that everyone is included and for ease of use.

TS info:

  • You can download TS here: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads
  • Details of the connection details can be found on the guild home page in-game (accessed by pressing G as default)
  • Please set your username as your @ name
  • Please set up Push to Talk
  • An Officer or GM will need to register you before you can access any rooms other than the lobby

TS Etiquette:

  • Please use an appropriate room for your group
  • Please ensure that you use Push to Talk
  • Please do not interrupt and join rooms for which you are not in the group
  • Please follow guidelines for what is not tolerated in chat as per Guild chat

Events

We run regular events, details of which are listed on this site and usually have a corresponding Facebook event.

We do not impose rules on guild event participation, but we do ask that you attend the events that you have committed to. Communication is so easy in the digital age, please just let us know if you will be unable to make it.

PvP Etiquette

As an Aldmeri Dominion based guild, we fight in Cyrodiil for the Queen and Dominion! If you are playing on another faction show respect for your fellow guildies

Inactivity

Who wants a dead guild full of inactives? No-one! Everyone wants to be in an active guild! To ensure the guild stays alive and fresh, we periodically remove members that have been long term inactive.

If you know you are going to be offline for an extended period of time then please update your guild note to reflect this.

Guild bank access will be revoked after 3 months of inactivity unless otherwise agreed.

Been removed for inactivity? Please get back in touch with us via the application form on our site, via Facebook or in-game mail.

TL;DR

In a nutshell: Do your guild note, don’t be a dick 🙂

Play nice, be kind, respectful and courteous. Use common sense, treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself.

Give as you take, be generous and helpful to others.

If you’re not sure about something then don’t do it.

Officers are on hand for any queries or questions you might have.

Congratulations if you made it to the end of this post! If you are unsure about anything or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact an officer
